Our first novel: "NINETEEN MINUTES" by Jodi Picoult

"Nineteen Minutes" by Jodi Picoult is our first novel. We are going to work together with Miss Nancy J Libbee's class in the USA. She visited us last year and now we're going to work with her English class by sharing our reading, analysis and discussion on this book.
Before starting I want to share these book trailers with you and I expect you to post your comments describing your first impressions on the book.
Hope to read you!

  9. I think the book is really interesting as it's plot is catching. Somehow, in my opinion it's told in slow motion, fact that makes it a bit heavy.
    But I like it.
    Love ya teacher (L)

  13. Hello 4th Year Students! Will you tell us a little bit about yourselves when you post? For example, your name and your interests? I will have my students do the same.

About the book: Did you feel like the beginning of the book grabbed your attention? Have you ever really thought about what you can accomplish in 19 minutes?

School violence in the US is something we are concerned about. Have you ever experienced school violence personally? Have you ever been bullied? Have you looked at the timeline of school violence since 1996? Not all of the places are in the States.

What are your thoughts? How would you handle it if someone came in to your school and started shooting?

Hope to talk to all of you soon!

    Nancy Libbee
